CNC spindle repair for Croatia
We are an independent spindle workshop in Sankt Augustin near Bonn, Germany. Paul Kloss runs it and all repair work happens here. A spindle from Croatia travels as ordinary freight inside the EU customs union, usually by road through Slovenia and Austria, and comes back the same way once the work is done.

What Croatian workshops send us
Croatian engineering leans on the shipyards at Rijeka, Split and Pula, on metal component suppliers feeding German and Italian machine builders, and on a solid tool and die trade around Zagreb and Varaždin. The spindles that follow are a mixed set: belt-driven and motor spindles from vertical machining centres, milling heads off older gantry machines, and grinding spindles from tooling shops. Many are twenty years old or more, which usually means bearings, seals and a worn taper rather than anything exotic.

Getting the spindle here
Road freight from the Adriatic
Croatia is in the EU, so there are no customs formalities and no export paperwork beyond a consignment note. Groupage road freight from Zagreb or Rijeka to the Rhine region typically runs two to four days each way; the transit time is your forwarder's business, not ours, and it sits on top of our workshop time. Pack the spindle upright on a pallet, in its own crate. On-site work in Croatia is possible only by prior technical arrangement, so the right instruments and parts travel with the technician.

Ask us first, by email or phone, with the machine and spindle type and a short description of the fault. We will tell you what to send and how to pack it. Then book a pallet with your own forwarder to Sankt Augustin. Inside the EU no customs document is needed.
Typically 5 to 10 working days from arrival, depending on parts availability and what the teardown reveals. That is an estimate, not a committed date; a binding date is only valid if we confirm it in writing. Transit in both directions comes on top and is handled by your forwarder, not by us.
Nothing here is free. The spindle is stripped and measured, and you then receive a written quotation with the findings, the parts needed and the price, before any repair work starts. If you decide against the repair, you are told what the inspection itself costs before it begins. Nothing is done without your written go-ahead.
