CNC spindle repair for Singapore
We are an independent spindle workshop in Sankt Augustin, near Bonn in Germany. There is no branch in Singapore and nobody on the ground there. A spindle from a shop in Jurong or Tuas is crated, flown to Frankfurt or Cologne, and stripped down on our bench here.

Aerospace MRO and precision engineering
Singapore runs a dense mix of aerospace maintenance, semiconductor equipment work and precision engineering, most of it in Jurong, Tuas, Seletar and the Loyang estates. The spindles we see from there are mainly high-speed motorised units off Japanese and Swiss machining centres, grinding spindles from wafer and optics work, and the occasional milling head out of a tool room. Coolant contamination and bearing damage after a crash account for most enquiries. Machines are generally well maintained, so failures tend to be specific rather than the result of neglect.

Air freight out of Changi
Air cargo from Changi to Frankfurt is short by the standards of this trade, and a crated spindle usually moves in a few days. Transit time is the forwarder's business, not ours, and sits on top of any workshop estimate. Customs formalities apply in both directions; your forwarder handles them, and a temporary export with re-import on return is normally the right procedure. On-site work in Singapore is possible only by prior technical arrangement, made far enough ahead that the correct parts and instruments travel with the technician.

Typically 5 to 10 working days from arrival, depending on parts availability and what the teardown reveals. That is an estimate, not a committed date; a binding date is only valid if we confirm it in writing. Air transit each way is on top of that and is set by your forwarder, not by us.
For a common spindle that can be exchanged locally, freight to Germany and back rarely pays for itself. For a rare, high-value or discontinued unit it often does, particularly when the machine builder no longer supports it and no exchange unit exists. Send nameplate photographs and a description of the fault, and we will say plainly which case you are in.
Only by prior technical arrangement. We have no staff in Singapore, so a visit means booking a flight and packing the right instruments and parts in advance. For diagnosis, alignment checks or advice on removing an awkward unit that can be sensible. For a rebuild it is not, because the spindle has to be on the bench in Germany.
