CNC spindle repair for Slovakia
We repair CNC spindles in one place: a small independent workshop in Sankt Augustin, near Bonn, run by Paul Kloss. There is no branch, no warehouse and no staff in Slovakia. A spindle from Bratislava, Trnava or Zilina reaches us as ordinary palletised road freight, arranged by a forwarder of your choosing.
The market
Automotive machining in Slovakia
Few countries assemble as many cars per head of population as Slovakia, and the plants around Bratislava, Trnava, Zilina and Nitra have pulled a deep tier-supplier base in behind them. Machining density is high: housings, brackets, transmission parts and body-in-white fixtures, run hard on multi-shift patterns. That shows in the spindles. Most of what we see from Slovakia are motor spindles from production machining centres with real hours on them, where bearing sets are worn, preload has gone, or a clamping system no longer holds the tool as it should.

Getting the spindle here
Getting a Slovak spindle onto the bench
Slovakia is in the EU, so there are no customs formalities and no duty questions. Your forwarder handles the run to Germany on normal transport documents. Road freight from western Slovakia to the Rhineland is a well-served corridor and takes a small number of days each way, which is added to any workshop estimate rather than included in it. Pack the spindle so the shaft cannot move. On-site attendance in Slovakia is possible only when it is technically arranged beforehand.

Questions
Slovakia spindle repair — frequently asked
Yes, and the process is the same for both. The spindle comes to the workshop, it is stripped and measured, and you get a written quotation before anything is repaired. We do not hold exchange stock, so a plant running tight shift patterns should plan for the spindle being away rather than expect an over-the-counter swap.
We are independent and hold no manufacturer authorisation, so we do not describe anything as OEM. We fit bearings and seals from the established bearing makers, to the specification the application needs, and the quotation says exactly what is being fitted. If you want a particular bearing brand or class, tell us before we order.
Then we say so. After teardown you get the findings and, where a repair is not sensible, a plain statement of why. You are told before any repair work begins, so the decision to proceed, to look for a replacement unit, or to have the spindle returned as it stands, stays with you.
Send us the spindle details
Tell us the machine model, the spindle type and what the machine is doing wrong. We come back with an initial assessment and a written quote before any work begins.
