CNC spindle repair for Tennessee
Every repair we do happens in one workshop in Sankt Augustin, near Bonn in Germany. There is no branch, no stock and nobody of ours in Tennessee. A spindle from Nashville, Chattanooga or Knoxville is crated, flown over, stripped and measured here, and quoted in writing before anything is rebuilt.

Tennessee machining sits mostly downstream of vehicle assembly. Nissan at Smyrna, General Motors at Spring Hill and Volkswagen at Chattanooga pull a wide supplier base around them, with powertrain and battery work now added to it. East of that there is aerospace and test-facility engineering around Tullahoma and Maryville, plus chemical and heavy plant maintenance in the Tri-Cities. The spindles we see are mainly machining-centre and transfer-line units, with a scattering of grinding spindles from gear and shaft work.

Memphis is an advantage, up to a point
Memphis makes the outbound leg easy: it is one of the busiest air freight airports anywhere, and a crated spindle rarely waits long for a flight to Europe. That helps with the freight, not with the decision. Customs formalities apply in both directions and are handled by your forwarder; a temporary export with re-import after repair is normally the right procedure. On-site work in Tennessee is possible only by prior technical arrangement.

Where the unit is rare, high-value or discontinued, an imported head, an obsolete grinding spindle, or one that has already failed a rebuild, it often does.

If the measurements show the unit is not economic to rebuild, you get that in writing as well, with the reasons. Work starts only once you accept.
Only by prior technical arrangement. We keep no people and no parts in the United States, so a visit has to be planned well ahead, with instruments and likely components packed for the specific machine. It can make sense for diagnosis, alignment or a difficult removal. The rebuild itself still happens in Germany.
