Fanuc spindle repair
Repair of Fanuc spindle motors and spindles with bench testing.
Parts by brand
Fanuc is mainly a maker of CNC controls, servo drives and spindle motors, which machine builders such as Doosan, Hyundai WIA, Hwacheon and many others fit to their machines. Fanuc’s own machines include the Robodrill machining centres and Robocut wire EDMs. A request for a Fanuc part is therefore usually a request for a spindle motor, a sensor or motor bearings. We source these parts on the European market and check them in our workshop in Germany.
What is needed
The main group is the induction spindle motors αiI and αiIP for lathes and machining centres, the compact βiI series and the built-in BiI motors for motor spindles. Every motor carries a code of the form A06B-…, and that code is what we identify the part by.
Robodrill vertical centres of the α-DiA and α-DiB series with BT30 taper are a separate topic: their spindles run at high speed with frequent tool changes, so bearings, drawbar and position sensors wear. The third group is the spindle sensors αiMZ, αiBZ, αiCZ and position coders, which are often the first part to be checked after power interruptions.
New, reconditioned or exchange motor with the same code and specification.
Spindle units and their parts for Robodrill α-DiA and α-DiB.
Spindle position sensors with their gear rings, position coders and feedback cables.
Bearing sets for overhauling spindle motors, so a noisy bearing is replaced while the motor stays in service.
How to order
Fanuc prints everything needed for identification on the nameplate, so one clear photo tells us exactly which part you need.
Photograph the motor or sensor nameplate: the A06B-… code for a motor or A860-… for a sensor, the serial number and the date. For a Robodrill, add the machine plate.
We check the code and variant: motors of the same power can differ in flange, shaft and sensor.
We offer a new, reconditioned or exchange option. Availability and delivery time are confirmed after your enquiry.
We test the motor or sensor in our workshop, ship it to you or fit it here.
Why us
We search for new, reconditioned and exchange parts in parallel.
Winding insulation, bearings and sensor signals are checked in our workshop.
We explain how to set the sensor gap and check spindle orientation.
Courier or freight forwarder; within the EU without customs paperwork.

FAQ
Check the cable, the sensor gap and the sensor ring first. Often a new αiMZ or αiBZ sensor is enough and the motor stays in service.
Both are spindle motors for machine tools, with different torque and speed characteristics. The full A06B code from the nameplate defines the correct variant.
Yes, this is a common choice. A reconditioned motor carries the same code and is tested, and an exchange unit shortens downtime.
Yes: bearings, drawbar, springs and seals, as well as the complete spindle unit as new, reconditioned or exchange.
Request
The A06B code and the serial number are all we need to start. We reply with options and ship across Europe and worldwide.

Every operation below is done in our own workshop in Germany. Follow a link for what it involves and what we need from you.
Machine brand
We are independent and work with spindles of every builder. These are the makes whose spindles come across the bench most often.
Quote
Tell us the machine model, the spindle type and what the machine is doing wrong. We come back with an initial assessment and a written quote before any work begins.
