Grob Spindle Parts and Motor Spindles
Grob G-series universal five-axis machining centres — G350, G550, G750 and others — use a horizontally mounted motor spindle, so chips fall freely and aluminium and steel housings are machined at high output. For these machines we source HSK motor spindles, bearing sets, clamping systems, rotary unions and sensors on the European market. Checking, fitting and run-in take place in our workshop in Sankt Augustin, Germany.
Range
What we supply for Grob motor spindles
A Grob motor spindle combines a built-in motor, super-precision bearings, an HSK clamping system, sensors and cooling channels in one housing. We select the right parts for each of these areas.
Units
- HSK-A63 or HSK-A100 motor spindle, new or rebuilt
- Exchange motor spindle of the same version
- Rotor and stator of the built-in motor
- Housing parts and flanges
Mechanics and clamping
- Bearing sets from makers such as GMN, FAG, SKF or Barden
- HSK clamping systems, including Ott-Jakob types
- Disc spring stacks and collets
- Unclamp pistons and seals
Media supply and monitoring
- Rotary unions for coolant and air
- Clamp position and speed sensors
- Encoders and temperature sensors
- Cooling circuit seals
Process
How an order for Grob parts works
-
1
Identification
Send photos of the machine and motor spindle nameplates: type, unit number, maximum speed and HSK size. On Grob machines the unit number is essential, because one machine model can carry different spindle versions.
-
2
Part matching
We match the data to the original part number and source the original part or an equivalent of the same quality.
-
3
Quote
You receive the options — new, rebuilt or exchange unit, or individual parts — with availability and delivery confirmed in writing.
-
4
Fitting and start-up
In our workshop we fit the parts into the motor spindle, measure the HSK clamping force, balance the rotor and run the unit in.
Benefits
Why order Grob parts from us
Grob centres are widely used for aluminium housings in automotive and aerospace production, where schedules leave little room for a long wait on a spindle. That is why we offer the options that get the machine running again quickly.
European sourcing
Grob spindle parts, super-precision bearings and clamping systems from the European market — original or equivalent, stated in the quote.
Exchange and spare
An exchange motor spindle now, and your own unit rebuilt as a spare.
Checked in our workshop
HSK taper runout, clamping force and sensor function are checked before dispatch.
A clear quote
Every option in writing, with shipping by courier or freight forwarder across Europe.
FAQ
Grob spindle parts — common questions
Yes. If the motor spindle is in good condition and only the clamping force has dropped, a new clamping system or spring stack is enough. After fitting we measure the clamping force with a gauge.
Check the rotary union, the sealing air supply, the collision monitoring settings and the condition of your tool holders. We tell you what is worth replacing together with the spindle.
Yes, we identify parts for earlier Grob generations as well. Nameplate photos and the unit number from the machine documentation are especially helpful.
Yes. We supply the bearing set, seals and clamping parts, assemble the motor spindle, set the preload, balance the rotor and run the unit in with a test report.
In a rigid case with the shaft locked, by courier or freight forwarder. Within the EU no customs paperwork is needed; for other countries we help with export and return documents.
