Makino Spindle Parts and Motor Spindles
Makino machines are known for high-speed spindles used in mould, die and precision part work: the a-series horizontal centres, the d-series five-axis machines, the V verticals and the F graphite machines. These spindles run with tight runout tolerances, on hybrid ceramic bearings and with shaft core cooling. We source motor spindles and parts for them on the European market, check them in our workshop in Germany and, on request, fit them and run the spindle in.
Supply
Motor spindles and parts for Makino
In a high-speed Makino spindle the bearings, lubrication, cooling and through-spindle coolant work as one system. We therefore select the parts together, so that after the change the spindle holds runout and temperature the way the machine was designed to.
Motor spindle units
New, rebuilt and exchange motor spindles with HSK-A63 or BT40 for the a, d, V and F series — with the same speed range and power as on the nameplate of your unit.
Hybrid bearings
Super-precision bearing sets with ceramic balls from makers such as GMN, FAG, SKF or NSK, chosen by precision class and preload for the specific spindle.
Oil-air and cooling
Oil-air lubrication nozzles and lines, seals for the cooling jacket and the shaft cooling circuit, O-rings in the correct materials.
Through-spindle coolant and sensors
High-pressure coolant rotary unions (Deublin and equivalent types), speed and drawbar position sensors, motor spindle encoders and HSK clamping parts.
Identification
How we identify your Makino spindle
Makino builds the same machine type with several spindle variants, so the model name alone is a starting point. These details pin down the right part:
-
1
Machine and spindle nameplates
A photo of the machine nameplate with model and serial number, plus the motor spindle nameplate if it is accessible. The machine serial number points to the exact spindle version.
-
2
Interface and speed
Taper (HSK-A63, BT40 or other), maximum speed and the coolant type — through the spindle or external. We match these against the part data.
-
3
Options and quote
We offer a new, rebuilt or exchange unit or individual parts. Availability and delivery are confirmed in the written quote.
-
4
Check, fitting, run-in
Taper runout is checked before dispatch. On request we fit the bearings, balance the rotor and run the spindle in while recording temperature and vibration.
Our approach
Why order Makino parts through us
The European market
We source Makino spindle parts and super-precision bearings across Europe, original or equivalent quality — stated in the quote.
Runout control
For mould and graphite work every micron counts, so spindle units are checked for runout in our workshop.
Monitored run-in
After fitting, the spindle is run up to working speed in steps while bearing temperatures are monitored.
One clear quote
Each option set out in writing, with shipping by courier or freight forwarder across Europe and beyond.

FAQ
Makino spindle parts — common questions
For high-speed Makino spindles we select the bearing type the design calls for — in most cases hybrid bearings with ceramic balls. That way the spindle keeps its speed rating and service life.
You receive a rebuilt unit of the same type and send yours to us in return. This shortens machine downtime, which matters most when the machine is booked with mould work.
Yes, we identify parts for earlier generations of the a, V and F series as well. Photos of the spindle nameplate and of the unit itself help a lot here.
The rotary union handles high-pressure coolant, and a worn seal lets fluid reach the rear bearing. A new union protects the new spindle from the first day.
In a rigid case with the shaft locked and the taper protected, by courier or freight forwarder. Inside the EU there is no customs paperwork; outside the EU we help with export and return documents.
