Brother Spindle Parts and BT30 Cartridges
Brother Speedio drilling and tapping centres — the S, R, M and U series — are built around a compact high-speed BT30 spindle and a very fast tool change. The spindle runs at high speed and clamps a tool thousands of times per shift, so the cartridge, the bearings and the clamping parts wear in a predictable way. We source these parts on the European market, check them in our workshop in Sankt Augustin, Germany, and fit them for you if you send the spindle in.

Parts for the Speedio spindle unit
The Speedio spindle is a cartridge that comes out of the spindle head as one unit. The fastest route back to production is often a new or rebuilt cartridge; individual parts let you restore your own unit and keep it as a spare.

On high-speed BT30 spindles a clean taper and good retention knobs matter. If the taper shows fretting marks, order new retention knobs for your tool holders together with the cartridge.

Send the Speedio model, the machine serial number and a photo of the spindle head or motor nameplate. For older TC machines add a photo of the spindle itself.

We identify the part number and set out the options: new cartridge, rebuilt or exchange cartridge, or individual parts.

Brother spindle parts — common questions
The cartridge is changed as one unit, so the machine is back in production sooner. Your old cartridge can then be rebuilt and kept on the shelf as a spare.
Yes, we identify parts for earlier generations such as the TC-S2D and TC-32B as well. For these machines, photos of the nameplate and of the spindle itself are especially helpful.
Most often new retention knobs for the tool holders, seals for the coolant rotary union and, if the clamping force has dropped, a new disc spring stack.
In a rigid case with the shaft locked and the BT30 taper protected, by courier or freight forwarder. Within the EU no customs paperwork is needed; for shipments outside the EU we help with the export and return documents.
Yes, if your team has experience with Speedio spindle heads. The part comes with its inspection data, and on request we carry out the bearing work and setup in our workshop.
