Hurco Spindles and Spare Parts
Hurco VM and VMX vertical machining centres are a familiar sight in toolrooms and in shops producing parts in small and medium batches. For these machines we source spindle units, bearing sets, drawbars, belt drive and gearbox parts, motors and sensors. Every part is checked in our workshop in Germany and shipped to you by courier or freight forwarder, with fitting in our workshop as an option.
Range
What we supply for Hurco VM and VMX machines
On a Hurco the spindle works in one chain with its drive: on most VM models the motor turns it through a belt, while some heavier VMX models use a two-speed gearbox for torque at low speed. That is why, beyond the spindle itself, we source everything connected to it mechanically and electrically.
Spindle units and cartridges
New and professionally reconditioned spindle units for BT40 or CAT40 taper, matching the tooling your machine runs. An exchange option is available: you send in the old unit and receive a reconditioned one.
Bearings and seals
Matched sets of precision angular contact bearings from makers such as FAG, SKF, NSK or GMN in the same precision class and preload category, plus labyrinth seals, spacer rings and nuts.
Drawbar and unclamping cylinder
Disc spring stack, collet or ball gripper, drawbar, piston and seals of the unclamping cylinder, clamp position sensors. The spring stack is replaced as a whole so that clamping force matches the nominal value.
Belt drive and gearbox
Pulleys, poly-V and toothed belts, gearbox gears and bearings, gear-shift parts, as well as the spindle motor and encoder, identified from the nameplate and the part number in the Hurco documentation.

How to order a part for your Hurco

Nameplate photos
Photograph the machine plate with model and serial number and, if possible, the spindle motor nameplate. Spindle versions vary within one VMX series, so the machine serial number is a great help.

Identification
We check the data and select options: original part, equivalent-quality new part from a European maker, or reconditioned unit.

You receive a written quote listing the items; availability and delivery time are confirmed after your enquiry and stated in the quote.

Delivery and fitting
We ship by courier or freight forwarder. On request we fit bearings or a drawbar in our workshop, then balance and run in the spindle.

Hurco parts: frequently asked questions
Photos of the nameplates and a few pictures of the spindle head are enough for identification. If the machine documentation lists a number for the spindle unit or an individual part, add it and the search goes faster.
Both tapers share the same angle but have different flanges and retention knobs, so the drawbar collet differs too. We confirm the version from the nameplate and a photo of a tool holder, so the drawbar parts match your tooling.
Yes, we supply a matched set with the mounting arrangement. If you prefer, we carry out fitting, preload setting and run-in in our workshop.
That depends on the condition of the old unit’s shaft and housing and on how soon you need the machine back. We offer both options side by side, and you decide.
By courier or freight forwarder across Europe and worldwide. The unit is packed in a rigid crate with the shaft secured and the taper protected.
